Born January 1, 1960 in Gainesville, Florida, Mrs. Martinez was a daughter of Mildred S. Hartley of York, SC and the late Howard Knight.
A professional painter, Mrs. Martinez is remembered as down-to-earth and fun-loving and for her love of life, dancing, decorating, music, art, fishing, the beach and her skills as an excellent cook.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Martinez is survived by her husband of 27 years, Robert H. Martinez; her daughters, Crystal Howe and Bobbi Denise Johnson, both of Charlotte; and her granddaughter, Karma Howe whom she lovingly called “Sweet Girl”.
Also surviving are two brothers, Steve and Gary Knight, both of Rock Hill, SC; and a sister, Donna Knight of York, SC.
Mrs. Martinez’s family will receive friends from 7-9 PM Friday, October 1st at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home.
