More than life itself, Lois loved her husband and partner in life, HC “Hank,Hankie” Thomas of Burnsville. They celebrated almost 65 years of marriage together. Originally from Wadesboro, Lois was the daughter of the late Walter and Fanny Treadaway and sister to Myra McRae, Bruce Treadaway and the late Don Treadaway.
Her sons, Philip and Brian were her pride and joy. She also claimed her daughter-in-laws, Tammy and Stephanie, and loved them like her own. Her grandbabies, Heather, Luke, Madison, and MaKenna, were always spoiled by MawMaw. She welcomed Heather’s husband, Nathan, as one of the grandkids. She also loved her great-grand pups!
She loved shopping, reading, going to the beach, and anytime spent with her family. She took great pride in Madison and MaKenna’s softball, Luke’s photography, and Heather’s handmade gifts. She loved Jesus and was a devoted servant of Christ. She taught Sunday School at Newell Baptist for 42 years. Lois also loved on countless people over the years through her unique and personal card ministry.
An incredibly beloved wife, mother, and MawMaw, as well as many other countless titles, she will be sorely missed here on Earth. She was feisty, loving, fiercely loyal and the most giving person we’ve ever known! Her nickname was Dynamite because she was small but mighty!
A celebration of life is scheduled for June 4, 2022 at 1:00 pm at King’s Church of Charlotte: formerly Newell Baptist, 9115 Newell Baptist Church Rd, Charlotte, NC 28213 .
In lieu of flowers, please donate to King's Church of Charlotte.
