Ashley worked at Charlotte’s finest bars and night clubs over her career, including the legendary Scorpio Nightclub, the historic Oleen’s Lounge where she was a celebrated showgirl and “Hostess with the Mostest”, as well as Liasons, where she was a staple for 2 decades.
A consummate entertainer, on and off the stage, the “Spanish Spitfire”traveled the southeast sharing her natural talent for dance and performing, which made her an obvious crowd favorite and a joy to behold. You knew you were in for a treat whenever the host announced “Welcome to the stage, the 10 dancing toes of Charlotte, Miss Ashley Jordan.”
She donated her time and talent to many fundraising endeavors, including the charities “Toys for Tots”, MAP, and RAIN. She was most happy being of service to those less fortunate and always giving to anyone in need. She was constantly giving people a place to stay, and became family to those without one.
Ashley possessed a gentle nature that made anyone feel comfortable around her, a sense of style that was bold without pretension, and a lust for life that was contagious.
A legend in the LGBT community and a friend to everyone she ever met, she will be greatly missed.
