Loree W. Robinson

Mrs. Robinson, of Charlotte passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at her residence.

She was born March 29, 1921 in Columbia, South Carolina the daughter of the late Martin and Fannie Walkup. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband, whom she married October 11, 1941, Paul Eugene Robinson; brother, Wilburn Walkup; sister, Evelyn Westman, and grandchild, Kim Robinson.

A conversation with our mother would quickly reveal her feelings (and opinions) on any given subject. Material possessions were not of importance to her. She loved her home, her flowers, grits, Pecan Sandies and bread with butter. She had a firm belief in God and the power of the Holy Spirit. She was content being a home maker and was always ready with a home cooked meal.

Surviving are her six children, Jane Kerley (Jerry) of Waxhaw, NC, Don Robinson (Rhonda) of Asheville, NC, Michael Robinson of Charlotte, NC, Carol Capps (Mike) Charlotte, NC, Christie Miller (John) Dallas, TX, Charles Robinson (Kattie) Charlotte, NC, eight grandchildren, and two great- grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, October 6, 2011 at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, October 7, 2011 at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery.
