Louis Eckley

Charlotte - Louis D. Eckley, 67, of Charlotte, NC, died February 25, 2015. Louis passed away suddenly from an infection in his blood. He is predeceased by his parents, Earnest and Cornelia Eckley and his sister, Nelia Green. Louis is survived by his wife, Cheryl; his children, Shane and Kimberly; his brothers and sisters, Bobby, Tyson, Mary Gene, and Gordon; his grandchildren, Miller and Jack Eckley, and Piper, Annabel, Scout and Caroline Powell; and his numerous nieces and nephews.

Louis touched many people's lives and will be greatly missed. He will be remembered as an adored Papa to his six grandchildren; a hard worker; and for being filled with integrity and generosity. Above all, Louis will be remembered as he would want to be, as a good and faithful servant to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 28th at First Baptist Church-Matthews. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Forest Lawn East Cemetery.
