

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2013 at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Sharon Memorial Park.
Louise was born June 22, 1927, in Pageland, SC, to the late Walter and Florence Deese. She retired after 31 years of service from the Mecklenburg Co. School System, was an active member of Duncan Methodist church for many years and attended Northside Baptist Church. She enjoyed baking, gardening, sewing and adored her grandson Cody.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Broome was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Joe Banks Broome and her 10 siblings. She is survived by her son, Gary Broome and wife Kim of Lake Wylie, SC; daughter, Wanda Broome Fleming of Charlotte, NC and her special grandson, Cody of Clemson, SC. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
