

Mrs. Lawson, 78, of Temple Terrace, FL, and a cabin on Lake Wylie, passed away on June 18, 2012 at CMC-Main. She was born on March 30, 1934 in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of the late Alvin and Sarah Adams Hough.
Lynne was educated in the Wilkinsburg, PA school system. She graduated from Penn State with a BS degree in Home Economics. She toured Europe with her college choir in 1955. While living in Pittsburgh, she met her husband, William Lawson, at a church function in 1957. They were married on August 16, 1958, and moved to Temple Terrace, Florida, in 1959. She sang with the Tampa Oratorio Society and the Temple Terrace Presbyterian Church choir for 52 years. She was an active member of Temple Terrace Presbyterian Church, serving as a Sunday school teacher, Youth Leader, Youth Education Coordinator, and as an Elder of the church. She worked as a System Analyst with Anderson News for 20 years, retiring in 1999.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, William L. Lawson, Jr.; her three sons, William III of Charlotte, NC, Douglas of Riverview, FL, and John of Gainesville, FL, their wives, Elizabeth, Chandra, Tammy, and their children Jackie, Sammi, Katie, John, Sarah; and great-grandson, T. J. Adams.
A service to celebrate her life will be held 1:00 p.m., July 28, 2011 at Temple Terrace Presbyterian Church, 820 Bullard Parkway, Temple Terrace, FL.
