

Heavenly Father Tuesday, March 29th. She is now rejoicing with loved
ones gone before including the dad she lost at the tender age of twelve.
She was born February 19, 1925 in Union County to Vanness Threatt, Sr
and Hattie Lee Mangum. She attended Thomasboro High School and worked
for Lance Packing Company.
She enjoyed working with ceramics and delighted in making her own
Christmas gifts. She also enjoyed traveling with Buford, her devoted
husband of 65 years. Together they visited Niagara Falls, the Grand
Canyon, Hawaii, Germany, France, England and Austria.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers
Hazel Threatt, Clyde Threatt, Harry Threatt, Carroll Threatt, Van Thomas
Threatt, and Johnny Threatt, sisters Mildred Osborne, Marion Beard and
Doris Guice, son Kenneth Buford Nance and grandson Stephen Michael Cavin.
She is survived by her husband Buford Perry Nance, daughters Peggy Cavin
(Mike Rink), Joanna Edwards (Larry) and Kathy Warner (Bill), sister
Betty Robinson, brother Jack Threatt, grandchildren Billy Cavin (Tracey)
Lee Cavin (Kathy), Lisa Smith (Tom), Kris Nagle (Chris), Larry Edwards
(Ame), Mitch Warner (Staci), Shea Musick (Scott) Laurie Kiser (Timmy)
and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday April 2nd at 1:00pm at Covenant United
Methodist Church. The funeral service will be at 2pm. The family will
hold a private burial service immediately afterward.
