Margaret Cochrane Sanders

Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 2nd at 2:00PM at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Reverend Billy Towery officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Sanders was born May 31, 1920 in Mecklenburg County daughter of the late Robert Brice and Mary Belle Porter Cochrane. She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Charles Rhinehart Sunday School Class, Golden Years Club, and had received a Lifetime Achievement Service Award.

Surviving are daughters, Gloria Allen of Boiling, Springs, SC and Jean Dickerson of Charlotte, sons, Robert Michael Sanders ( James Pierce) of Key West, Fla. and Tom Sanders (Janice) of Denver, NC, grandchildren, Jane, Danny, Amy, Sharon, Gordon, Barbara, Adrien and Carla, great grandchildren, Ben, Abby, Joe, Miranda, Kenneth, Megan, Luke, John, and Joe, and great-great grandchild, Kaylie, brother, William (Bill) Cochrane of Bear Creek, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Sanders, and five brothers.

Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove UMC, 1915 Oakdale Rd., Charlotte, NC 28216 or to Presbyterian Hospice, 324 N. McDowell St., Charlotte, NC, 28204.

The family would like to express gratitude to Pleasant Grove UMC and its members for their love and prayers during the illness of Margaret and especially to Rachel Ervin.
