

Margaret Elizabeth Fenton Stauber of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Appleton, Wisconsin, died on Tuesday, May 8, 2012. Margaret was born Thursday, March 27, 1952, in Waterloo, Iowa, the fourth child of Mary Elizabeth Porter and John Stewart Fenton. She was the granddaughter of Margaret Stewart and Orville Francis Fenton and Elizabeth Ross Murray and the Reverend William Cooper Porter.
She was a 1969 graduate of West High School, Waterloo, Iowa and studied music and English at Cedarville College, Cedarville, Ohio, and business administration at Gates Business College, Waterloo, Iowa. She studied medical transcription at Fox Valley Technical College, Appleton, Wisconsin, and worked as a transcriptionist in Milwaukee and Appleton, Wisconsin, and Charlotte, North Carolina. An accomplished musician, Margaret played the piano, organ and violin.
Margaret was preceded in death by her mother and father; her sister, Rebecca Ann Fenton; her paternal grandparents; her maternal grandparents; and a grandson, Benjamin Isaac Stauber.
Margaret is survived by her children, Heather Nichole Jingst Peterson and her husband Joel Adam Peterson of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Nathaniel Douglas Jingst of Kohler, Wisconsin, and David Jonathan Jingst, Machinist Mate Chief, United States Navy, of Ladson, South Carolina; her granddaughter, Eden Dayle Peterson; her grandson, Kane Wallace Peterson; her husband, Charles Lee Stauber, her husband’s mother, Virginia Mary Kraus Stauber of Marshfield, Wisconsin, his children, Heather Marie Stauber-Gale and her husband, Husani Kodwo Gale of Raleigh, North Carolina, Adam Charles Stauber and his wife Autumn Dey Koski Stauber of Marquette, Michigan, and his grandchildren, Hasmin Nabushae Gale, Austin Michael Buchanan, Cullen Joseph Buchanan, Sidney Marie Buchanan and Levi Adam Stauber; her sister, Tamara Kay Fenton Kunath and her husband Carlton Lawrence Kunath of Waterloo, Iowa; her brother, Stephen Orville Fenton and his wife Rosemary Johnson Fenton of Waterloo, Iowa; her sister, Mary Esther Fenton Melberg and her husband Jerald Leigh Melberg of Charlotte, North Carolina; her nephew, Edward Carlton Kunath of Waterloo, Iowa; and her nieces, Laura Jean Kunath Norman of Fonda, New York, Rosemary Christine Kunath Jones of Augusta, Maine, Joy Elizabeth Fenton and Noel Christine Fenton of Strongsville, Ohio and Emily Dawn Fenton Davis of Iowa City, Iowa.
A service of remembrance will take place June 30, 2012, at Elmwood Cemetery, Waterloo, Iowa.
