Maria Cunningham Edwards

She was the widow of the late Joe Edwards. Sis was the daughter of the late Will and Zodie Cunningham. Sis was preceded in death by a sister, Eugenia; a brother, W.S. and a grandson, Ian. Sis was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all.

Sis is survived by two sons, Ken Edwards, wife Patsy, of Angier, N.C., Dennis Edwards of Charlotte, N.C.; a daughter, Jeanie Tomkins and husband Don, of Lancaster, Pa.; four grandchildren, Melissa Fussell, Rich Edwards, Lisa Heller, Brent Hudgins & honorary granddaughter Megan Edwards; nine great grandchildren, Matthew and Alex Fussell, Baili, Jonah and Jack Heller, Lauren, Mia and Will Edwards and Kingsley Hudgins. Also surviving are special nieces and nephews.

Sis was a wonderful homemaker, loving mother, and friend to all. She was a member of the Church of Christ, for over 61 years.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, May 19, 2014 at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park with Rev. Gary Hixon officiating. Committal of her cremains and the cremains of her husband Joe will follow in the Garden of Honor in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM to 11:00AM prior to the memorial service.
