Marian Elizabeth Dominick

Marian Elizabeth Dominick, age 82, of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. She was born on July 16, 1941 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Dominic Truffa and Mary (Cibik) Truffa.

Marian grew up in the Leechburg area and attended Leechburg High School. She graduated with the class of 1959 and went on to attend Clarion University, where she got her Bachelor’s Degree in teaching.

Marian married Robert W Dominick in 1967 in Pittsburgh, PA, where they raised their 4 children and enjoyed nights out watching his sister, Cheryl, play in her band.

After college, Marian taught English and later became a stay-at-home mom to raise her 4 children. She also enjoyed working at a bookstore in her later years.

Marian was an avid reader and loved her trips to the library every weekend. She also looked forward to Bingo nights every week, and on any given day she could be found in her favorite recliner watching her favorite shows. She loved being surrounded by her family and grandchildren, and her favorite vacation spot was Disney World.

In 2012 Robert & Marian joined their daughters down south and settled in Indian Land, SC, where they often spent time with family, swimming and having barbecues.

Marian and her infectious laugh will be greatly missed by her family.

Those left to remember Marian include her four children, Kelly Dominick, Brenda Drummond and her husband, Mark, Brian Dominick and his life partner, Belinda, and Nicole Goins and her husband, Tim; her grandchildren, Breanne Daniels, Chad Daniels, Blake Drummond, Paige Drummond, Joshua Drummond, Justis Dominick, Koltin Dominick, Baylee Dominick, Ava Goins, and Jude Goins.

Marian is now reunited in Heaven with her loving husband Robert, her parents, Mary and Dominic Truffa, and her sister, Patricia Nelson, and her brother, Donald Truffa.

To honor Marian’s wishes, there will be no public services held.
