

Mrs. Marie Sisk Boling, 89, of Mount Holly, entered into rest on June 27, 2016. A native of Spartanburg County, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Loren and Nonie Sisk. Marie worked as a kindergarten teacher for several years. She also worked in retail sales and photo re-touching. Marie was an excellent artist and painted landscape scenes. In her Golden Years, she lived life to the fullest while traveling. Marie spent winters in Florida, dancing the months away. In the spring, she returned to her home in Mt. Holly. By the summer, she would be on her way to Michigan. Marie made friends wherever she traveled and loved everyone. She will be dearly missed by both family and friends.
Mrs. Boling is survived by her two sons, Michael Wayne Boling and Ronald Loren Boling. She has five grandchildren, Michelle Runyon, Christopher, Shannon, Landon and Ashley Boling; seven great-grandchildren, Amber Runyon, Cherry, Corey, Calvin, Colin, Finley and Claire Boling; and two great-great grandchildren, Hayden and Serenity Runyon.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the Charlotte Chapel of McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park at 7:00 PM. A funeral service celebrating her life will follow at 8:00 PM with the Rev. Earl Bradshaw officiating. A graveside service will be held in the Gardens of Memory in Walkertown, North Carolina at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 30, 2016.
