Marie Marlow Hix, wife of James Oscar Hix and daughter of C.T. Marlow and Carrie Marlow, was mother to Linda Brooks (Ed), Beth Allison (Dennis), Steve Hix, Becky Ross (Dale). She was grandmother to nine grandchildren and had many great-grands. Survived by sisters Camilla O'Briant (Glen) and Peggy Lynch (Charles) and brother Van Marlowe (Gayle). Predeceased by brothers Luther (Margaret), Tim (Margie). Marie loved UNC basketball, fishing, and Atlanta Braves.
