

Marilyn Sue Sailers Brown, 94, died peacefully at Asbury Care Center at Aldersgate, Charlotte, NC on February 16, 2022. A visitation is planned for Monday, February 21, 2022 at 1pm at McEwen Funeral Services at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212. A graveside service at 2pm at Sharon Memorial Park will immediately follow the visitation.
Marilyn was born in Charlotte, NC on April 18, 1927 and was the only child of the late Ovin Charles Sailers and the late Grace Downs Sailers. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Willam Franklin Brown of Charlotte, NC; son, William Franklin Brown, Jr. of Charlotte, NC and daughter, Lynda Sailers Brown of Matthews, NC.
Marilyn was a graduate of Central High School, Charlotte, NC and Queens College, Charlotte, NC. While at Queens College, she joined Alpha Gamma Delta and was elected to May Court. She was employed as an Executive Secretary until the children were born then became a full-time homemaker. Marilyn loved her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking and decorating her home. Marilyn adored animals and cared for numerous family pets throughout her lifetime. Marilyn was the definition of a true Southern lady. She was deeply loved by many and will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg, Colorado.
