Mrs. Asay, 90, of Charlotte, NC passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016. She was born on March 1, 1926 in Rochester, NY to the late Francis and Anne Esterheld. She graduated Nazareth College in 1948 with a double major in Biology and Chemistry. That same year she married William Pariel Asay on September 18th at St. Margaret Mary’s in Rochester.
Marjorie is survived by her four sons; William Asay and his wife Mary Cae, Robert Asay, Donald Asay and his wife Susanne, Mark Asay and his wife Pei; her daughter Margaret Casey and her husband Maurice. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her loving husband William and grandson Walter.
A Mass will be celebrated at 2 pm Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at St. Matthew Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to: Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region.
