Mark Steven Swanson Jr.

He was born in Rock Hill, SC. He attended elementary school in Fort Mill, SC, Southwest Middle School and Olympic High School in Charlotte, NC.

Mark loved his hot wings, his music, scary movies, the Panthers, Seth Curry and his dog, Duffy.

He is survived by his father, Mark Swanson and Stepmother Tracy Swanson, Charlotte, NC; his mother, Ruth Ann Woods and Step-father Tom Woods, Monroe, NC; his sister, Lindsey Mighion, Kent, OH; Grandmother, Vicki Cannon of Fort Mill SC; Siblings Step-brother TJ Woods and wife Shontae Woods of Pageland SC; Step-brother Adam Woods and wife Crystal Woods of Victoria TX; Step-sister Jessica Starnes and husband Fletcher Starnes of Monroe NC; Aunt Teryl Blevins and Uncle Johnny Blevins of Fort Mill SC; Aunt Samantha James of Cherryville NC; Uncle Samuel James of Fort Mill SC; Aunt Linda Klara and Uncle Russell Klara of Fort Mill SC; Uncle Ralph Emerson of Eden NC; niece Lillian Mighion, Kent, OH; and 15 cousins of York County.

Mark was preceded in death by Grandfather Clifford Wayne Emerson of Fort Mill SC; Grandmother Naomi T. Emerson of Eden NC; and Aunt Sheila Ann Smith of Chester SC; his paternal grandparents, Gilbert and Bernice Swanson, Rockford, IL.

Services will be held at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210 on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 with the Visitation from 11am to 1 pm, and the Funeral beginning at 1pm.

Burial will follow immediately at Grand View Memorial Park - Hollis Rd., 401 Hollis Rd., Rock Hill, SC.
