Marrena K. Karr

Marrena was born on December 11, 1941, in Charlotte NC. She lived in Charlotte where she attended Myers Park High School (1961). After graduating, she then attended Anderson College and studied for an associate degree in Fine Arts. Marrena then married Gerald K. Karr in the year 1963.

She was an active member of Forest Hills Church and a supporter of the Serenity Recovery Church. She also enjoyed bowling, cooking and writing poetry, where she had been published.

She is survived by her younger brother, DeArmond Kirkpatrick (Charlotte), three children, Marrena Anne Harrelson (Ellenboro, NC) and her twin sons, Bryan Keith Karr (Charlotte) and Robert Stewart Karr (Charlotte). She is also survived by her five grandchildren Alyssa, Zoe, Cindal, Brittney and Makayla, and great grandson Lucas.

Marrena will be sorely missed by all that knew her.

A service in the mausoleum will be held Friday, 22 August 2014, at 3:00pm at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, in Charlotte.
