Martha Ann Sharpe Hurst

Martha Ann Sharpe Hurst of Jefferson, GA, formerly of Asheville and Pineville went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 19, 2012. Born in Pineville, NC, Ms. Hurst was the daughter of the late Logan I. and Verla Mae Earnhardt Sharpe. She was a buyer for Dr. T.C. Smith Company in Asheville. Ms. Hurst was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Lee Hurst and one sister, Rebekkah Shapiro. Ms. Hurst is survived by her children, Jeffrey Davis (Barbara) of Ft. Myers, FL, Julie Davis of Charlotte and Larry Lee Hurst (Martha Isabel) of Jefferson, GA where she made her home for the last several years. She is also survived by sisters, Anarah Furr Howard of Stanley, Mary Bell of Charlotte, Mildred “Mickey” McCallum of Davidson; grandchildren, Kristina Davis Meyers, Keith Meyers, Kimberly Davis, Sean and Shauna Sibila, Christopher Sibila, Danielle Davis; great-grandchildren, Zachary Meyers, Jeffery Meyers, Hayden Sibila and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 1:00p.m., Saturday, August 25 in Pineville City Cemetery, 211 Lowry St., Pineville. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the graveside service. Larry, Jeffrey, Julie and Martha’s sisters wish to express their immeasurable gratitude to all of the wonderful “Angels on Earth” who helped with Martha’s final journey – St. Mary’s Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospice House of Athens, GA.
