Martha Lucille Floyd Stubbs, 79 of Mooresvile, N. C. died July 9, 2011 at Lake Norman Regional Center. Funeral services will be at 2:00PM Monday, July 11, 2011 in the chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home, Reverend Sammy Pierce officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Stubbs was born in Gaffney, S. C. July 31, 1931 to the late Miley Davis and Ruth Cates Floyd. She was a graduate of Gaffney High School and had been a seamstress with Statley Lady.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, David (Gene) Stubbs, daughters, Gloria Myers and husband, Ralph of Mooresville, NC and Kathy Keightley and husband, Ted of Boone, N. C. , three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. and a brother, Davis Floyd and wife, Marian of Aiken, SC. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Pallbearers are Ronnie Blanton, Ricky Pearson, Loren Fresh, Jerry Kornegay, Chad Hartley, and Wade Stubbs.
