Marty (Mariss) Cirulis
December 3, 1949 – May 11, 2022

Marty (Mariss) Cirulis died on May 11, 2022 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born December 3,1949 , in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Zanis and Dzidra Cirulis.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dagnia Martin.
Marty is survived by his wife, Marilyn Cirulis, of Charlotte; his son, Tim Cirulis, of Charlotte, a sister, Ligi Cirulis of Auburn,Va; sisters-in-law ,Dee Walton of Lenoir City, TN, Daphne Battle of Lexington, SC, and Jane Hull of Charlotte , brothers-in-law Bill Walton and Ken Martin of Fort Mill, SC; 2 nieces and three nephews.
Marty moved to High Point, NC with his family at age 16 and graduated from High Point Central High
School in 1969, He graduated from High Point University in 1983 and received his MBA from Duke
University in 1985 . He worked for a number of years for Thomasville Furniture Industries and Value Village Corporation, retiring in 2014. He was a pastor's spouse, serving Walkertown UMC, Waxhaw UMC and Broad Street UMC in Mooresville.
Marty was loving father and devoted spouse. He was a kind and caring man who went out of his way to help anyone in need.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to Levine Cancer Institute, Sanger Heart and Vascular Center or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The family wishes to thank the many health care professionals who helped him throughout his illness, especially Dr. Usmani, Dr. Atrash and Dr. Singh.
