Mary L. Blake

Mary Louise Blake, 88, of Charlotte, our beloved and precious mother, was called home to Heaven by our Lord on February 27, 2016. She passed over at her home surrounded by loved ones. She blessed us with her loving presence and will be missed so much.

Mary worked at K-Mart and retired after 30 years of service. She loved the springtime, being outdoors in the garden and feeding and watching the birds. She enjoyed doing her puzzles and the family bingo games each week at home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W. P. Blake; daughter, Susie Blake; son, John Blake and her parents, Lucy and Marshall Rhyne; brothers, Carlton, June and Bill Rhyne.

Those surviving are her daughters, Debbie Merritt and Jan Hardin (Steve); sons, Bill Blake and Sam Blake; sisters, Evalene Alexander (Don), and Shirley Richardson; grandkids Donnie Merritt (Melissa), Andy Merritt (Tatiana), Pam Morrison (Clint), Amie Blake, Courtney Suits (John), Sam Blake, Jr. and Matt Blake; great grandkids, Bella & Sadie Merritt, Gracie and Sofie Merritt, Max and Atticus Morrison and Camie, Raegan and Ava Suits and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a Celebration of Life in the spring to honor our wonderful Mom whom we will love forever.
