Mary Banks Hunt age 69, of Charlotte, slipped away into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior on May 15, 2014 at Novant Medical Center. She was born on November 27, 1944 in Newberry County SC, daughter of the late P. B. and Drucie Cromer Banks. Mrs. Hunt was a member of East Baptist Church and retired from Cato Corporation in 2012. The family will receive friends Sunday May 18, 2014 from 4:00 to 5:30 P.M. at McEwen Funeral Service, 5716 Monroe Road. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 AM Monday May 19, 2014 at East Baptist Church with Pastor Jon DeBell officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn East Cemetery. She was the loving wife of 45 years to James E. Hunt, loving mother to Wes Hunt and wife Jen of Indian Land, SC, Karen Preston and husband Brian of Summerville, SC, loving grandmother to Alissa and Caylee Preston, also surviving are brothers, Marion Banks of Newberry, SC, Heyward Banks of Columbia, SC and sister Ruby Cook of Gastonia, NC.
