Monday, March 25 our mom made her journey to heaven. Mary Brennon House Jones had just celebrated her 89th birthday. Her life was an inspiration to all on loving and kindness. Widowed at age 50 and raising five daughters, Mom went back in the workforce. She taught and positively impacted children's lives at Metro Center and Berryhill Elementary School in Charlotte. She also served many years at Mulberry Baptist as the church hostess. Her message to us all was to love the Lord and love one another.

What a wonderful celebration service we had for you Mom. There was a beautiful memorabilia table of all your life pictures. The aroma of all the gorgeous flowers was a heaven scent. Music filled the church as we all sang some of your favorites. What a blessing that was bestowed upon each and everyone of us. Thank you for a life well served. Thank you for teaching us all about Jesus. I pray that all the heavenly dreams from earth have been filled abundantly. I gain comfort in knowing that you are with your family, Dad, & Duree. I will miss you mom, but I will see you again. I love you.

Dear Mary was a precious part of our Sunday school class at Huntersville Oaks. We loved visiting with her and will miss her so much. She always had that smile on her face and had such a joy for life. We will be keeping you all in our prayers.

While volunteering at Huntersville Oaks Mary always loved to come into The Acorn Store for a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie. I’ll miss seeing her smiling face. She was always so happy:)
