Born January 18, 1943 in Mecklenburg County, Mrs. Massey was a daughter of the late Franklin Julius Suggs and Ora Lee Law Suggs. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by three children, Donnie Massey, Lisa Kiser and Tim Massey; and a sister, Betty Revels; as well as four grandchildren, Curtis Massey, Brandie Hull, Jonathan Massey and Justin Kiser; and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Massey in October 2010; and a daughter, Susan Massey.
A service to celebrate Mrs. Massey’s life will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, January 19th in the chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home with the Reverend Ray Rippy officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.
