Mary F. Stephens

Mary Elizabeth Ferrell Stephens, age 91 of Charlotte passed away February 21, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be at 11:00AM Wednesday, February 26th at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 4622 Nations Crossing, Reverend Matthew T. Miller and Reverend Jim Posey officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00PM Tuesday evening February 25th at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home, 4601 Freedom Drive. Interment will be in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Mrs. Stephens was born in Gaston County July 15, 1922 daughter of the late Lomax Bryant and Lula Virginia Smith Ferrell. She was member of Woodlawn Baptist Church, Esther Sunday School Class, Fish Group at Calvary Baptist Church, had served as a volunteer at Marion Diehl Senior Center and retired after 30 years as Package Products. Surviving are daughter Gail S. Miller and husband, Steve of Nebo, NC and son R. Michael Stephens of Charlotte, NC, grandchildren, Matthew T. Miller and wife, Brooke of US Army Anchorage, Alaska, Amanda G. Miller of Gates, NC, five great grandchildren, sister, Frances Withers of Denver, NC, and a brother, Ralph Ferrell and wife, Doris of Huntersville, NC and 25 nieces and nephews In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy N.
