Mary Delores Williams found Jesus when she was 8 years old at Shiloh Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan on St. Antione and Benton. Both her parents Jerome Shine and Ardella Lilly Shine and her sister Carole Ann Workman preceded her in death. At 19 years old she was baptized. She bore 3 children, Gary Jones, Robin Denise Jones and Tony Jones while in the union of their father Cleghorn C. Jones Jr., two grandchildren, Shayla Danielle Johnson (Chauncey Barber), Shauntia Dominique Johnson (Quentin Gary). She also had a great-granddaughter, Angel Desiree Dennis that she never had the chance to meet due to death at birth.
Mary stayed in someone’s church throughout her life. She was always helping out those that needed help and she was also one that people helped throughout her life. Mary resided in Arizona to help with her grandchildren and she moved to Charlotte to be with them as well.
Mary had a host of other friends and family members, she will truly be missed by all.
