Maude Elizabeth Brown Clontz

Maude Brown Clontz, 95, of Plantation Estates in Matthews, NC, died on March 1, 2016. Mrs. Clontz was born in Chick Springs, SC, to James Hampton Brown and Berta Middleton Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Robert Joe Clontz, and her brother, James Hampton Brown, Jr.

Mrs. Clontz loved and dedicated her life to her husband, children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed golf, bridge, traveling, and caring for her “grands.” Mrs. Clontz was a long time member of Sharon Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her three children and their families: David and Jo Rohrbaugh; K.P. and Myra Lau; Ted and Nancy Clontz; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one sister, Martha Brown Easterling.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Clontz will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Charlotte Chapel of McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park. The Rev. Larry Watts will conduct this service. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
