Melvin A. Hall Sr.

Melvin was born in Washington DC on March 24, 1939 to Howard F. Hall and Beatrice Long. Mr. Hall retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service. He then worked for the Mint Museum for 10 years as a security officer. Melvin enjoyed fishing and camping in Chimney Rock, NC and McDowell Nature Preserve in Charlotte, NC.

Melvin is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Margaret Paul. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hall; children, Debbie Williams (Stuart), Melvin A. Hall Jr. (Virginia), Kevin Hall (Belinda), Sylvia Purcell (Dean), Rita Grim & Beverly McCombs; brothers, Samuel & Robert Hall; sisters, Barbara Cliett, Frances Phieffer, Marie Ducan, Margaritta Speko & Sherry Deal; 11grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. Hall will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West, on Thursday, February 23, 2017. Entombment will immediately follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
