Uncle Wayne really touched my life when I was 13. My family would go over to Uncle Wayne's and Aunt Sandys for Christmas every year and he would take a thousand pics of everyone, as he loved to do. At that time I had a mouth full of braces and felt horrible about smiling but I did it cuz Uncle Wayne told me to! About a week later I received a blown up shot of me smiling with no braces on, he had removed them with his magic photography skills and I was thrilled! What a sweet man he was!

I knew Mr.Atkins through my son, which was husband to his daughter Kim. He and Mrs. Atkins were always very kind and willing to help whenever they could. I know that Kim got his love for animals. I pray that you all remember his smile his laugh and all of the precious moments.

I knew Wayne from church. Through their photography, Wayne and Sandy gave me the memories of a lifetime. The day of our engagement pictures was one of the best days of my life and 22 days later, my Wayne went to heaven. We did bridal pictures which was the closest thing to a wedding that I would have. His pictures were great but the process of doing it together with Sandy was something more than I have words to describe. I am so thankful to have known such a lovely man.

So sorry to hear of Wayne’s passing. I knew Wayne in the 60’s when we were both members of Greenland Avenue Baptist Church in Charlotte. Wayne was always a smiling friendly face. He and Sandy made the picture perfect beautiful young couple.
