Michael Walter Flowe

Michael Walter “Mike” Flowe, 67, passed away on the 9th of October, 2025. He was born on the 3rd of December,1957, in Charlotte, North Carolina, to the late Harold Ray Flowe and Frances Miller Flowe.

Mike spent most of his life in York, South Carolina, where he built a life filled with hard work, laughter, and love. He was part owner of the family business, DW Flowe & Son, Inc., where his dedication and craftsmanship earned him deep respect from those who worked alongside him.

Mike loved the outdoors — whether hunting, fishing, or working on his farm, he found peace and joy in nature. He especially enjoyed listening to music, with Jerry Jeff Walker among his favorites. He loved the beach and his trips to Belize, but most of all, he loved his family.

He will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, and willingness to help anyone in need. Mike was a hardworking man who brought laughter and light wherever he went.

Mike is survived by his children: Christina Phillip (Tommy), Chris Flowe (Leslie), and Scott Flowe (Jamie); his grandchildren: Brian, Natalie, and Alex Phillip, and Adrian and Noah Adams; his sister, Becky Ellis (Ronnie); and his brother, Jeffrey Flowe.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, David Ray Flowe and Harold Lee Flowe.

The Flowe family will receive friends on Wednesday, the 15th of October, 2025 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at McEwen Funerals & Cremations at Forest Lawn West, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208. A service to celebrate his life will follow at 11:00 AM in the Chapel. He will be laid to rest next to his family in the Flowe Family plot at Forest Lawn West Cemetery.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
