

Born October 4, 1991 in Charlotte, he was a son of Fagia Kline Schmitt and the late Herbert Paul Schmitt. Following graduation from Myers Park High School in 2010, he furthered his education at Appalachian and was scheduled to graduate in May.
In 2010, Cameron received his Eagle Scout award from Troup 33 at Sardis Presbyterian Church. He was an avid Tar Heels fan and watched every game. Cameron also loved Game of Thrones, Boone, the outdoors, snowboarding, and trail driving in his jeep, Shelby. He is remembered as a fiercely loyal friend who never met a stranger and was loved by all.
In addition to his mother, Cameron is survived by his twin brother, Tyler Schmitt; aunts and uncles, Hariett and Maurice Wilson and Susan and Bob Kempf; and his cousins, Lauren and Will Kempf; as well as his many friends across the state.
A service to celebrate Cameron’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 6 in Harry & Bryant’s “Chapel in the Oaks”, 500 Providence Road. His family will receive friends at the home of Ben MacDermott following the service.

His memory will live on in the lives of his friends who will await their reunion with him at the gates of Heaven.
