I use to work at the Sheriff's Office with Sloop. I am devastated to find this news. I would have been at the service. My prayers goes with the family.   

Mike, Don and I miss you   so very much so many memories ,can't began to list all the  times we had fun.  Love from the Sloops.

Uncle Mike was a very kind soul. Memories. Didn't get to see him for many years but I never forgot him. Memories I have of him was when I was little and him and Aunt Alice and Heather would come to our house in Mooresville for Christmas. He was always smiling and very cheerful. He was a great man and will never be forgotten.

Mike Sloop was a good guy and worked hard for Mecklenburg County. Hated to hear of his passing, because the other day I was wondering what Mike had been up to! Sorry for the loss and hope family finds comfort knowing others cared for Mike! R.I.P.

I will always remember Mike Sloop for being a person who was not afraid to say what he thought and standing by his work.

Prayers and condolences to Mike's family. I will never forget this kind man.  He helped me through so many emergencies with my computer for many years. He was a great friend and will always be remembered.

Mike was always quick and efficient in his IT job.  He would let you know what the problem was and how to fix it, when IT wasn't available, and most importantly in plain easy to follow simple language that technology challenged people (like myself) could understand.  He was a pleasant person to talk to, and never seemed to get out of sorts at problems.  He was just a great guy all around.  So sorry to hear of his call to go home, he is free of the earthly struggles and will be greatly missed.

Mike was a great guy. I also remember Mike’s Court Services days. Once our little IT group moved to the renovated intake (as it was known back then), I had a coffee pot in my office. Mike was the first one in each morning for coffee.  🙂He will be missed. Sending prayers for his family. 

I worked with Mike for years in the Sheriff’s Office IT division. Before those years I worked with him in the intake center when I was a Deputy Sheriff and he was with Court Services. So sorry to hear of his passing. God bless his family.
