Michael Colin Stroud, 78, of Charlotte, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center. Michael was born in Cardiff, England to the late Kathleen Waldren Stroud and Cyril Stroud. He originally moved to New York City prior to settling in Charlotte in the mid-1980s.
Michael was an accomplished businessman, who retired from Kosa, previously Celanese, as a market researcher after many years, but continued to work as a consultant for the performance fibers market up until shortly before his death.
Michael was preceded in death by his wife of 23 years, Sheila Morris Stroud. He is survived by the couple's only child, Lucinda Stroud.
