Over 2 months have gone by since Michael’s untimely passing. He and I worked together on and off for 15 years. I can say that he was very good at what he did; professional, meticulous, and thorough, I knew that if Michael was doing the work, it would be done well. I always appreciated that.

You couldn’t know Mike for long in business without getting to know him personally. He was an open book. Especially, one could not be impressed with just how deeply he loved his boys. He was so proud of them both even though they came during different periods of his life. I am so sorry that they have lost him physically in their lives- he was a constantly growing man; the Michael I knew 15 years ago had improved with the years. His maturity inspired me at times. I’m sure they will continue to feel his presence with them. It has been so with my Dad, now deceased, and I.

Most missed will be his kindness and enthusiasm. He always had a smile, a story, a laugh - and always punctuated every meeting with an act of gratitude and appreciation -intentional acts worth emulating. I often am reminded of him as I continue the work that he no longer can, and I miss his encouraging presence and can-do attitude.

My prayers and condolences are with his sons and families. Life is hard enough to not also be presented with the challenge of tragedy, yet it is just such challenges that bring out our inner strengths. I watched such growth in Michael over the years as he faced and overcame some hard times.

May God welcome him into Paradise.

Lately I remember you as that little boy who’d turn to me the older for protection, guidance and often emulation when we were children. To that end you may never know how much the last several years have meant to me and how much I grew to truly admire, the deep commitment you displayed for your boys; Aaron & Chase. Yet as Aaron is grown and well established by your guidance, I take solace knowing you’ve left the very best of yourself in Chase. He is so much like you at similar age, it’s uncanny! Chase has your propensity for mischief, your enthusiasm for adventure, your bravado, your core unabashed friendliness that cannot be deterred by covetous means. He IS his father’s son, in all the ways a father could hope.

While it is said that `giving a son a skill, is better than giving him a thousand pieces of gold’ and even though Chase isn’t mine he shall, unquestionably, be given a skill; that of knowledge, who you were; what you provided; and, possibly the opportunity for higher education you dreamed he’d engage... And who knows, perhaps one day your quip about “Doctor Chase” might be reality. And wouldn’t THAT be a fitting legacy?

So farewell, little brother; you’ve run your race, negotiated the turns, out rode others and finished at the checker. The winner circle is yours.

I have been friends with Michael Villasenor since 1986! We met driving down Adams Ave in HB he had a Red Camero and I had a Red Honda CRX, he asked if I wanted to race, so we did 😂 of course he won! We pulled to the side of the road and became great friends!! He then got me a job at Alfa Electronics selling cell phones on PCH in Newport. He was the best installer of in car cell phones back in the day! We worked together for a few years there at Alfa. Michael had the best laugh and was always smiling! He was an amazing father and loved his two boys to the moon and back. Im so sad I will never hear his laugh, or crazy stories again. Im sure he was really mad to leave us all way too soon!!
Aaron, your dad was always so proud of you, he is now your guardian angel that you can count on! I hope you know just how much he loved you!!! Stacey, no matter what happened with you two he always talked so highly of you and what a great mother you are to your son!! Dear Chase, it breaks my heart you will never know your father! He loved you very much! He will be watching out for you as you grow up.
Thinking of all of us that treasured this good hearted man!!!

We are so sorry to hear of the death of Michael Villasenor. Jake & I last saw Mike at the Long Beach Motorcycle Show several years ago where he was excited to be sharing motorcycle racing with his son. Having known Mike from motorcycle riding and his enthusiasm for the sport it was great to see him pass his passion along to his child.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his Fiance, his two sons and his entire family.

Godspeed to Michael.
