

He was an active young child and played several sports during his formative years. Michael attended Teaneck High School and graduated in 1993. He attended Morgan State University and earned a Bachelors degree in Sociology from New Jersey City University 1998. During his time at Morgan State University he developed a strong sense of self and love of culture and pride in his people. He began his professional career with the United States Gov’t working for the USDA, supporting the Federal Nutrition Service with bringing healthy, nutritious lunches to school children until his retirement in 2025.
Michael was an avid NY Giants and NY Knicks Fan. He was an artist and photographer. He loved swimming, watching boxing and was into holistic remedies. He was the life of the party, and had recently started doing stand up comedy. He loved his family and friends dearly.
Michael leaves us to cherish his precious memories and to mourn his loss to his loving parents, Robert and Michele, his brother Robert Walton, his sisters Lachonne Walton-Smith (John Smith) and Danielle Walton-Mitchell (Frank Mitchell). He leaves all his love, his heart, and his memories to his nieces Candace, Lauren, Alexis and Kiyara and nephews, Aaron, Avery and Miguel. Michael also leaves behind a host of wonderful aunts, uncle, cousins and friends.
