Miguel was born in Santiago Papasquiaro, Durango, Mexico, the eldest son of Angel and Amada Corral. From an early age, he carried a strong sense of responsibility and love for his family—a quality that remained at the heart of who he was throughout his life.
Miguel spent his formative years in Chicago, Illinois, where he raised a family with the love of his life, Lucia Corral. Together, they built a life and a family filled with love, hard work, laughter, and countless memories. Miguel was a devoted husband and father who worked tirelessly to provide for and care for his family. For more than 20 years, he was also a proud Latino business owner in Charlotte, North Carolina.
As the oldest of his siblings, Miguel naturally became someone his family could always count on. He made it his mission to look after the people he loved. He was the one who would call to check in, make sure everyone was doing well, and bring family together. His love was shown not only in the big things, but in the countless little ways he was there for the people around him.
To know Miguel was to know his sense of humor. He had a gift for making people laugh and could bring lightness to even the most difficult moments. He especially treasured the simple moments with his family—playing basketball with his grandsons, joking with his brothers, and spending time surrounded by the people he loved.
Miguel taught those around him that family comes first, that laughter can carry us through difficult times, and that life is made meaningful by the moments we share with one another. He gave so much of himself to his family, and his love will continue to live on through them.
Miguel is survived by his beloved wife, Lucia Corral; his children, Veronica Corral, David Corral and Uriel Miguel Corral; his grandchildren, Caleb Alexander Nevarez and David Corral; and his brothers and sisters, Sergio Corral, Aida M. Rocha, Gustavo Corral, Silvia Corral, Margarita Ramirez, Antonio Corral, Lorena Corral, and Jorge Corral.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Angel and Amada Corral, and his siblings, Frank Corral, Rolando Corral, Hector Corral, and Magdaleno Corral.
Though his absence leaves an unimaginable emptiness, his love remains—in the stories his family will continue to tell, in the laughter he inspired, in the traditions he helped create, and most of all, in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
Miguel will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
