

Mrs. Hough was born in Clifton, South Carolina, January 25, 1929, daughter of the late David Bryant McClure and Guynell McClure Brown.
She was a member of Purcell United Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir and the Rachel Circle. Mrs. Hough spent most of her working years as a dry cleaning clerk, retiring from Park Square Cleaners in Charlotte. She touched the lives of so many and was the most precious Maw Maw in the world.
Mrs. Hough was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Charles Hough; a son, Charles (Chip) Hough, Jr.; a daughter, Sue Hough Morris; and two brothers, David McClure, Jr. and Carol McClure.
She is survived by a daughter, Jean Hough; grandchildren, Nicole Mattern (Donnie), Rainey McIntyre (Dwayne), Michael Morris (Camie), Jared Hough, Nicholas Hough, Ginny Hough, Julie Hough, Katie Drozd; son-in-law Mike Morris; and great-grandchildren, Kendall, Trey, Brady, Cam and Logan.
A graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn West Cemetery at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 6, 2011 with the Reverend Tim Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Purcell United Methodist Church, 2141 Weyland Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28208.
