Mollie Suzette Bowers, age 61 of Charlotte passed away October 17, 2012. A gathering of family and friends will be from 12:30-2:00PM Saturday November 3rd at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home with a service to celebrate her life to begin at 2:00PM in the Funeral Home Chapel, Doctor John Sloan officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
Ms. Bowers was born in Charlotte September 9, 1951 and was the daughter of the late William Alvin and Betty Ingram Bowers. She was a member of Lighthouse Church, attended Women’s Bible Study and served in the Nursery, a 1969 graduate of Harding High School, attended CPCC and graduated from Gaston College with a degree in Nursing. A registered nurse, she had been employed at CMC Main Children’s Hospital over 30 years and three years at Pediatric Service of America. Survivors include a son, Greg Bowers (Nicolle) of Wake Forest, NC, sister, Paulette Gooden (Alan) of Charlotte, grandchildren, Haven and Sawyer Bowers and a number of nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
