MYRTLE D STANTON

July 11, 1918October 2, 2012

Mrs. Stanton, age 94, of Charlotte, NC died Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at Presbyterian Hospital. She was born July 11th, 1918 in Gresham, SC to the late Dave and Eunice Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Thomas Stanton and two grandchildren. She retired from the Park and Shop and was manager of T&M tax service. She was a member of Northlake Assembly of God. She is survived by her daughters, Eunice Elliott and Elizabeth Simpson of Charlotte, NC; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and six great great-grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was fondly known as Bumbutter to many. She was a strong Christian woman who left a legacy of love to all who knew her. A service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, October 6, 2012 at McEwen Funeral Service, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212 with the Reverend Lee Russell and the Reverend Jeremy Faughn officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Northlake Assembly of God, 1632 Sunset Road, Charlotte, NC 28216. I used to get my taxes done by Mr. Stanton. They were a wonderful couple. I enjoyed talking to Myrtle. I know she must have been a wonderful grandmother. She will be missed.
