A native of Middleburg, Virginia, Mrs. Bennett was born to the late William Felix Hodges and Dollie Peters Hodges on March 29, 1937. She was a graduate of Harrisonburg High School and Central Virginia Community College. Mrs. Bennett retired as Principal Office Assistant for the City of Coral Springs in Florida. She was a member of University City United Methodist Church in Charlotte and the University City Women’s Group. Mrs. Bennett is preceded in death by her husband, Larry W. Bennett, as well as 9 brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Bennett is survived by three daughters, Vicki Elliott (Tom), Patti Lingafelt (Steven), Tammy Ortiz (Richard); six grandchildren, Bob DuVal, Troy DuVal, Charles Lingafelt, Jr., Hannah Lingafelt, Kevin Ortiz, and Rebecca Ortiz.
