Born August 4, 1957 in Pawtucket, RI, she is the daughter of the late Herbert and Marilyn (Dursin) Ring. Following graduation from Sylvania High School in Sylvania, Ohio, Nancy furthered her education at the University of Michigan, where she developed many long-term relationships at Martha Cook Dormitory. She earned her degree in Political Science and then joined Common Cause in Michigan, as the Director. From there, she moved to Chicago to work for PM Haeger and Associates as an Administrative Director. She then struck out on her own with Communications Partnership, for 31 years as an educator and advisor to Eli Lili, among other companies, with her business partner, Jan Petty. She later became a Certified One on One Coach and Provider with HeartMath LLC, which she enjoyed for many years. Nancy then added Akashic training to her resume where she trained many with her good friend, Deborah Hellman. She was also a Board Member of the Diversity Council of the Carolinas. All these companies and affiliations were the perfect fit for Nancy’s ability to train and connect.
Nancy immensely enjoyed the sunny days of Charlotte and Asheville, NC, and her passion was engaging with friends and family to bring more peace of mind, calm and balance in their lives. She excelled in these skills throughout her corporate and personal life. All who knew Nancy, knew her nephew and niece were the true bright lights in her life.
A special note of gratitude to her friends, Robin, Donna, Teri, Penelope, Michael, Sandira, Deborah, Kyle, Janet, and cousins Jane, Steve and Rob for their constant love and invaluable support of Nancy and her family during her illness, and the ladies from Blue Dot (Cynthia, Coleen, Marva and many more), most notably, Valerie, who became a dear friend to Nancy and her family.
Nancy is survived by her brother, Herbert E. Ring, Jr.; sister-in-law, Ann-Marie Ring; nephew, Tristen; and niece, Madelyn.
A service will be held to celebrate Nancy’s life at 11 am on Monday, August 16, 2021, in the chapel of McEwen at Myers Park, 500 Providence Rd., Charlotte. The family will receive friends following the service.
