Narges Tabrizi, a cherished resident of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025, at the remarkable age of 100. Born on January 1, 1925, in Gorgan, Iran, Narges lived a long and beautiful life filled with curiosity, adventure, and a deep well of love that she poured into everyone around her.
As a child, Narges could often be found outdoors—most likely high up in a tree—full of energy, joy, and a fearless spirit. That sense of wonder never left her. She carried it into adulthood, where she became a devoted teacher who believed deeply in the power of learning. Whether she was teaching high school students or guiding aspiring artists at the art institute, Narges brought patience, warmth, and creativity to every classroom she entered.
Narges shared nearly 50 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Abolfazl Masihpour, until his passing, with whom she built a life grounded in love, mutual respect, and family. Together, they raised three daughters—Mojdeh (Ali), Mahtab (Michael), and Minoo, who predeceased her and whom she held forever in her heart. Narges’s legacy continues through her granddaughters, Mona (Keyvan), Sophie (Austin), and Holly, and her great-grandchildren, Lily, Cameron, and Aiden, all of whom brought her immense joy.
Her hands were rarely still. Whether crocheting, embroidering, sewing, making candles, or crafting delicate silk flowers, Narges expressed her love through the beautiful things she created. She cared for her community greatly through her involvement in the Poetry Society, the local library, and a youth center in Iran. For many years, she even brought her culinary talents to radio listeners through her cooking show, a testament to her many talents and her desire to connect with others.
Above all, Narges was a gentle, loving soul—an extraordinary mother, wife, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She had a way of making everyone feel seen and cherished. Her kindness and compassion left an imprint on students, neighbors, caregivers, and all who crossed her path. Her presence was a steady light, and her absence is felt deeply.
The family offers heartfelt gratitude to her devoted caregivers, especially Ms. Shanik Newsom, whose constant care and companionship brought comfort to Narges in her final years.
