He was a micro-premature child, not expected to arrive until approximately October, 2026. Even so, he fought to stay alive for at least 2-3 hours, opening his eyes to greet his mother with at least 2 faint cries. His parents note that Nathanael had the peaceful pre-disposition of his mother while appearing in the spitting physical image of his father. Skin-to-skin contact with his mother and father ensured that Nathanael felt loved and protected upon his birth, and the doctors confirmed that he was not in pain.
After fervent prayers from the parents and family members, the LORD decided that Nathanael was too pure to remain in this world, and called him home to join Him in paradise at 0835 the same day. And although our plans, hopes and dreams for a long life with him have been abruptly halted, he was deeply loved from the moment we first heard about him and we carry him in our hearts always.
He is survived by his loving parents, Isaac Teronne Pinkney and Afi Apefa Clemence Mathilde Bello. His grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and many other family friends looked forward to meeting him physically. We find comfort in knowing that love is not measured by the length of a life, but by the depth of the bond we shared.
Nathanael is preceded in death by his older brother, Eden Kokou Pinkney who passed on November 18, 2025 due to miscarriage.
A service to celebrate Nathanael’s life will be held at 12:00pm Saturday, June 27, 2026, in the chapel of McEwen Funeral Service - Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road. Burial will be held at 3:00pm at Forest Lawn West Cemetery, 4601 Freedom Drive.
The family will receive friends following the service. We also find comfort in the hope that we will see both of our sons again when God calls us home at our appointed times.
Please coordinate with Isaac Pinkney to send memorial gifts to the family. The family asks that everyone bring white roses to celebrate Nathanael’s purity. Attendees should wear all white formal attire.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Never forgotten.
