He was born in East Grand Rapids, MI on June 17, 1988 to Susan Sproul Stoner and Ralph V. Stoner, Jr.
Nicholas enjoyed many things during his life such as traveling to NY City, playing with animals and listening to all music especially Jazz. He was a free spirit who pondered the meaning of life, he loved to learn and his favorite thing was spending time with his family and friends. He was artistic and took pride in his graphic art designs. He is an avid Michigan State sports fan. He is currently enrolled in CPCC to finish his Associates Degree.
He is survived by his father, Ralph V. Stoner, Jr. of Grand Rapids, MI; his mother, Susan Sproul Stoner of Alexandria, VA; his three sisters, Natalie L. Stoner of Concord, Jessa O’Connor of Alexandria, VA, Shannon L. Stoner and her fiancé, Brandon K. White of Concord, NC; his aunt Mary Shelia Stoner of Concord, NC as well as many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ralph V. Soner, Sr.; his paternal grandmother, Geraldine E. Stoner; his maternal grandfather, Robert J. O’Connor, maternal grandmother, Nancy M. O’Connor; and his maternal grandfather Brawn C. Sproul.
The family will receive friends, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, April 29, 2011 at McEwen Funeral Service Derita Chapel 6300 Mallard Creek Road 6300 Mallard Creek Road. The celebration of his life will take place 12:00 noon, Saturday, April 30, 2011 in University City UMC 3835 West W.T. Harris Blvd. with The Reverend Paul Craig and The Reverend Gail Werstlein officiating.
