

Born on November 21, 1955, to Tom and Jo LaRose, Nona was a cherished member of her community and beyond.
A proud alumna of UNC-Chapel Hill, Nona's Tarheel spirit was evident through her unwavering support for their basketball team. Her professional life was marked by a distinguished career at Tex-Sheild, where she served as vice-president, dedicating her efforts to equip the armed forces with protective suits against biological and chemical threats.
Nona's passion extended beyond her professional and sports interests; she was a committed dog lover, having fostered over 100 dogs through her life. Her commitment to animal welfare was complemented by her support for various political initiatives, reflecting her deep desire to contribute to making the world a better place. An avid walker, she often covered 10 miles a day, listening to podcasts and chatting with her dear friends and family.
Her personal life was full of love and joy, shared with her husband Roy Fahl, her daughter Kelly Fradin, and her grandchildren Thomas and Diana Fradin. Nona also leaves behind her siblings Tom Bill LaRose, Tina LaRose Scudder, Johanna LaRose, and Jon LaRose. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Michael LaRose, and her beloved dog, Dooley.
Nona was an active member of Christ Episcopal Church in Charlotte, where services will be held to honor her memory at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 4th. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Greater Charlotte SPCA, reflecting her lifelong love of dogs. Nona's legacy of kindness, dedication and love will continue to inspire all who knew her.
