His family will greet friends on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, from Noon-1pm, at the McEwen-Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte, followed by his funeral service at 1pm. Reverend Tony Kirby will officiate. Burial with military honors will be at Crown Memorial Park Cemetery in Pineville.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Frances Price Loftin, Charlotte; and was the proud father of his son, Tim Loftin, Charlotte, and his daughters, Christy Lee and husband, Mickey, Charlotte and Shelley Oliver, Lake Wylie, SC; 9 grandchildren, Stephanie Todd, Christina Loftin, Jessica Todd, Cody Lee, Garrett Lee, McKenzie Lee, Kevin Loftin, Megan Williams, and Brittany Dawkins; 5 great grandchildren; Zayleigh Albright, Kaleb Williams, Eli Prakin, Jaden Perry, and Jaxon Williams; and his brother, Glenn Lofton and wife, Linda, Jefferson, SC.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Simmons Grant, and his brother, Aaron “Shorty” Lofton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to his wife.
