Olivia Wade Wilson, 93, died Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at White Oak Manor. Born in Gibsonville, NC on March 23, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Ernest E. Wade, Sr. and Iowa Edna Sigmon Wade. Mrs. Wilson was a long time member of Hickory Grove United Methodist Church and was a former resident of Wilora Lake Lodge for over seventeen years where she volunteered in different capacities.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:30PM, Monday, August 19th at Wilson Funeral Service with Rev. Michael Goode officiating. Mrs. Wilson will be cremated following the funeral. The family will receive friends from 1:30PM to 2:30PM prior to the funeral.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by a son, Walter W. Wilson, of Texas; a brother, Donald E. Wade, of Charlotte and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Wilson.
