He was very active in his home church and served as the Chairman for the Board of Trustees. He served in the U.S. Army as a cook stationed in Alaska during the Korean War.
He was proceeded in death by his loving wife, Billie Jean Williams, his parents Clarence and Lou Ella Williams, brothers Orville (Athlene), Auville (Trelby), Sisters Geraldine, Gerta (Lawrence), Garnett (Weston) and Janice.
He is survived by daughter Linda Webb (Johnny), Grandchildren Matthew (Leanna) and Monica Ballard (Brandon), Great Grandchildren Colton, Bailee, Owen, Sidney and Hudson, Sisters-in-law Rosalee Legg, Charlotte Legg, and Ella Legg, along with many other special family and friends.
The family will greet family and friends Thursday the 26th of October, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with the funeral to follow at 11:00 AM at Real Life Church, 15434 Lucia Riverbend Hwy, Stanley, NC. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn West, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Pinewood Elementary School Show Choir Program, 1925 N. Main Street, Mt. Holly, NC 28120.
