

Otis Arnold “June” Mace, Jr., 82, of Charlotte, was met by family and friends on April 26, 2013, at heaven’s gate; all were rejoicing his arrival. June was born on January 17, 1931 to the late Otis Arnold and Ellie Mace in Hendersonville, NC.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Norma; son, Otis Arnold (Trey) Mace, III; grandchildren, Stuart Mace and wife Missy, Dani Blalock and husband Chris, and Ali Mace, all of Charlotte; and great-grandchildren, Jakob Lanning, Laila Andujar and Nora Jane Mace. June was preceded in death by daughter, Laura Mace and sister, Dot Starnes.
June served our country from 1951-1954 in the U.S. Navy, and was involved in the Korean War. After being discharged from the Navy, June completed his education at Wofford College, where he was on their golf team for 2 years, graduating in 1957. Golf became a passionate hobby for him. June was a chemical salesman for 25 years.
He was a member of Pritchard Baptist Church, where a memorial service will be held in Solomon’s Chapel at 11 am on Tuesday, May 28, 2013. The family will greet friends from 10-10:45 am prior to the service.
